Tulip – PP Film Foamed – UO is foamed un-orientated PP film. It has a closed-cell structure, is lightweight and economical, and is soft, less slippery, and cushioned, with a specific use in the cable industry as a bedding tape replacing PVC films/tapes. It provides a mechanically protective layer between cable cores and armor tapes, thus helping in preventing damage to the conductor segment from the armor section. It has high abrasion/impact/puncture-resistance properties. This film requires less winding force and has been found to be faster during cable making. It reduces machine downtime by less snapping in film due to superior tear resistance in the cross direction. It has very low water and moisture permeability, as compared to PVC, due to its non-hygroscopic nature. It is very flexible, offering more pliability and conformability. It also requires less winding force. The film/tape is highly processable and compatible with all kinds of cable materials.

PP Film Foamed – UO is used as a replacement for PVC Film, as a bedding/protective film. The film in general is soft, less slippery, cushioned, and has a good clinging property to give complete covering to the cable core. It requires less winding force .

Available in 200, 250 & 300 micron thicknesses, with a maximum width of 100 mm and a minimum width of 30 mm.
